Lake County Juvenile Officers Association board members Anthony Kropp and Jack Metcalf hand Nina Staben of the Lake County Young Marines a donation for Saturday’s Drug Demand Reduction March. The Young Marines and the U. S. Marines Corps will be marching from the Gurnee Police Department to Six Flags Great America.
The LCJOA members presented Penelope, of Antioch, with a adaptive trike at the "Run for Scott 5k" event on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Penelope's Mother submitted an entry for a donation after seeing our webpage in hopes her daughter could receive one.
"Penny gets limited exercise as it is, in the warmer months she can not keep up with her peers and siblings. We often want to walk to the park but it is a bit too far for her to manage walking."
Congrats Penelope and enjoy your new Trike!!!
LCJOA awarded $1300.00 donation to physical education teachers, Liz Pumala and Jen Burke for their Trike Project to benefit students in need.
